UN Volunteers Programme

WHO offers opportunities for United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in many areas of expertise to strengthen capacity at country and regional level. If you have an undergraduate degree, several years of work experience and are interested in volunteer opportunities around the world, you may be eligible to become a UNV.

UNVs support WHO with their expertise to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable; helping us reach our triple billion target:

  • One billion more people to benefit from universal health coverage
  • One billion more people better protected from health emergencies
  • One billion more people enjoying better health and well-being

Join volunteers in your country or you can sign up to volunteer abroad.

General information about the different UNV modalities, the application procedure and other aspects of the volunteer programme can be found on the UNV website: www.unv.org
