Monkeypox strategic preparedness, readiness, and response: Operational planning guidelines

Overview

Building upon the framework of the Monkeypox Strategic Preparedness, Readiness and Response Plan, the Operational Planning Guidelines serves as a practical guide outlining the public health measures needed to prepare for and respond to the monkeypox outbreak. These can be used to establish or update existing national plans for monkeypox, for reinforcing five core components (5Cs) of preparedness, readiness and response, while enabling specific capacities and coordinated actions across key public health pillars. Use of the Operational Planning Guidelines is also facilitated by the Partners Platform, to help enable national authorities, UN Country teams and partners to collectively plan and implement these actions.
