RespiMart

Background

RespiMart, developed from FluMart, is a platform to facilitate exchange, harmonization, consolidation and storage of surveillance data for respiratory viruses with epidemic and pandemic potential, including influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and SARS-CoV-2. It provides one single platform for sharing aggregated and case-based data from different applications and/or data sources and allows for integrated analysis and reporting.

FluMart, launched in 2013, hosts virological (FluNet) and epidemiological (FluID) influenza surveillance data collected since 1997 and 2009, respectively, as well as other information related to the functioning of the Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System (GISRS). RSV was included in 2015 and SARS-CoV-2 in 2020 as result of the evolving role of GISRS in global surveillance for respiratory viruses with epidemic and pandemic potential.
