In December 2021, the World Health Assembly established an intergovernmental negotiating body (INB) to draft and negotiate a convention, agreement or other international instrument under the Constitution of the World Health Organization to strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.
The fifth meeting of the INB will be held from 3 – 6 April 2023. In line with the modalities agreed at INB4, the INB will continue to focus on the consideration of the WHO zero draft CA+, through the Drafting Group. The opening and closing sessions are anticipated to be publicly webcast. As decided by Member States, the drafting group is held in closed sessions.
